edible plant pot What better way to get a taste of the start of spring…   At the start of every year we like to pop out to our clients with a wee gift to say thank you for their continued support.  As self-confessed 'foodies', we work with our exclusive catering partner ‘Prestige Venues and Events’ to create edible treats relating to a particular theme.  This year we heralded the start of spring by creating an edible plant pot!
Running a five star exclusive venue keeps us on our toes, so it is nice when we can benefit from some of the perks! Undoubtedly, one of these is the annual menu tasting, where award winning Executive Head Chef of Prestige Venues and Events Trevor Garden comes to the Castle to showcase the coming year’s bespoke menu, and a delighted Dundas team get to sample the results –purely to give their professional appraisal of course!Dishes served at Dundas must not only compliment the surroundings and delight both the eye and the palate; they must be suitable for a wide variety of events, from gala dinners for 200, to intimate boathouse dinners just for two. Having digested the dishes, some of the team gave their opinion on their ‘dream menu’ for a specific type of event. Warning: do not read this post if you’re feeling hungry!
At Dundas Castle we pride ourselves on creating something that little bit different for our client parties and the 2010 party was no exception. The theme this year was ‘Four Seasons in One Day’ and 180 clients were invited to enjoy the Castle on a warm summer evening on the 17th June. In partnership with our preferred suppliers who co-sponsored the event we created an evening that our guests will never forget. Little did our guests know that they were being invited to a venue party that had never been created before!
