YOUR HOME FROM HOME
Dundas Castle in Edinburgh is the most spectacular venue for your event. Whether it is a wedding, a corporate event or a family celebration, the variety of buildings, impressive rooms and 17 bedrooms all ‘under one roof’ will provide you with a stay that is truly unique.
Currently the home of Sir Jack and Lady Stewart-Clark, this authentic Scottish Castle has been transformed into a 5-star ‘Exclusive Use’ venue. Therefore, you can be assured that there will be no other guests or members of the public sharing Dundas with you; you really are King and Queen of your Castle.
The Castle is made up of 3 main buildings. The Auld Keep was built in 1416 for the purpose of being both a home in times of peace and a fortress in times of war. In 1818 the main house as we know it today was built by the renowned architect William Burn and has belonged to the Stewart-Clark family since the late 1800s. The classic Pavilion on the lawns completes this magnificent trio of buildings to offer an elegant space for further entertaining.
With our dedicated coordinators on hand to meet all your needs, you can be assured that you and your guests will have a memorable and wonderful experience.
The location was outstanding and very easy to find. Close to nearby villages but we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere - the perfect place to get away.
“Seriously consider the time of your ceremony so that you have plenty of time to get ready, especially if you have lots of bridesmaids. This will also give you enough time to enjoy a glass of bubbly and eat something so that your stomach doesn’t rumble during the ceremony!”
My daughter got married at Dundas last Saturday and from the moment we arrived till the moment we left, the experience was absolutely wonderful. The wedding day ran completely without hitch thanks to Rose and her team. We had guests staying from Friday and the castle was very much our home from home - a place for us all to prepare and relax before the wedding day. Stunning rooms, food and total professionalism at every level. Just the right amount of guidance. This a classy venue but not stuffy. The rooms are magnificent but homely and the Keep (where the ceremony was held) is unique. Thank you team Dundas.
We hired Dundas Castle for our wedding for two nights over July 4-5, 2019. Hollie was excellent with communication and details leading up to the day. Genevieve was an absolute DREAM the two days we were there and she just made sure everything was perfect. And the entire team was top notch! From the moment we stepped in to the castle they handled everything and made the day an absolute breeze. We had a dinner in the stag room the night before our wedding and it was perfect. The day of the wedding was incredible and it had a lot to do with the amazing team at Dundas! I cannot recommend them enough, thank you Dundas Castle for making our day the best day ever at your stunning venue!!!
We cannot thank you all enough for making our weekend at the Castle so wonderful. ALL our friends have commented on the amazingly helpful, charming team who were looking after us. The catering was faultless and simply delicious. You made me feel like a Princess. Ridiculous I had to wait till I was 50 to be so spoilt! Shame I'm so happily married as it would be lovely to have a wedding at Dundas. I shall speak to Graham and ask if he's willing to re-marry me so we can book Dundas again... In the meantime, thank you all very much indeed for a hugely memorable weekend and looking after us so exceptionally. It was an enormous treat
The wonderful team at Dundas helped us have a fairytale wedding in a short time. They were helpful and accommodating. Our wedding was a phenomenal day celebrating with friends and family with a mix of old and new traditions. We were even blessed with a double rainbow for good luck and memories we will never forget.
Our experienced team will be with you every step of the way from the first phone call to the final goodbye.
From a night in the romantic Boathouse to a cosy and fluffy bathrobe, give the gift of a Dundas memory.
