Real Wedding: Susan and Bob, May 2019
Susan and Bob traveled from Chicago to Scotland to celebrate their marriage. With both having strong Scottish heritage, it was important for them to have their wedding across the Atlantic. Guests arrived the day before the wedding and got to explore Dundas. They had a rehearsal BBQ that evening outside the front of the Castle.
The following day, guests had a leisurely breakfast while Susan and Bob got ready for the wedding ceremony. In the afternoon, guests were invited to the Armoury, located in the 600-year-old Keep, for a pre-wedding drinks reception. Following the reception, the ceremony took place in the Great Hall. With its high vaulted ceilings, this dramatic space was the perfect setting for Bob and Susan to make their vows. After some group photographs, the wedding party made their speeches in the Main Hall before commencing to the Pavilion for dinner. As a finale, guests were surprised with a fireworks display before drawing the celebrations to a close.
