25 Apr Real Wedding: Sarah and Andrew, December 2018
Real Wedding: Sarah and Andrew
Sarah and Andrew chose to celebrate their wedding over two days at Dundas. On the day of their arrival they enjoyed a gin tasting and indoor curling with the 30 guests who were staying at the Castle. That evening the wedding party enjoyed a delicious selection of bowl food that was served throughout the main reception rooms. The menu included pumpkin and mushroom risotto, Scottish seafood pie and pulled BBQ chicken with sweetcorn salsa.
On the morning of the wedding day, the bridal party and groomsmen got ready in separate wings of the Castle. Sarah and Andrew chose to make their vows at the gorgeous Queensferry Parish Church and managed to get some beautiful photographs with the famous Forth Rail Bridge before heading back to Dundas. They were then announced into their drinks reception where mulled wine was served to set a wintery scene. Sarah and Andrew chose a ‘classic Christmas film’ theme for their wedding breakfast seating plan. The Pavilion decorations were complete with Christmas trees, seasonal floral arrangement, warm fairy lights and an abundance of candles. After an evening of ceilidh dancing, the wedding party drew the night to a close with a breath taking fireworks display.
“Dundas castle was the perfect setting for our winter wedding. The day itself was magical and the Dundas team took care of everything from the time we arrived until the day we left. Their experience and attention to detail meant that we were in safe hands and could focus on enjoying the day. We would do everything exactly the same way again. Thank you!” – Sarah and Andrew
