Ruth and Matt had a beautiful summer wedding at Dundas Castle. They exchanged their vows in our Courtyard which was dressed with a gorgeous floral arch and lanterns lined the aisle. As it was such a splendid day, their guests gathered outside the front of the Castle and enjoyed the glorious sunshine after the ceremony. They were served chilled Pimm’s and ice cream during the drinks reception to help them keep cool during the hot summer weather. Ruth and Matt continued their celebrations in our Pavilion which was decorated with blush and white flowers and touches of gold. After the wedding breakfast, the guests danced the night away with a traditional ceilidh.
“We were initially so reluctant to choose the Courtyard for our ceremony due to ‘Scotland’s summer’ but it paid off and the guests LOVED it. They really liked how it flowed so well into the drinks reception. I love the photograph of my sister and myself looking out of the window to see all the guests arrive and take their seats!
