11 Nov Real Wedding: Olivia & Stephen, July 2022
Olivia and Stephen travelled from New Jersey, USA, to Dundas Castle to tie the knot. Their guests joined them the day before the wedding for a BBQ supper and highland games on the castle lawn. This was the perfect chance for everyone to meet each other and kick start the celebrations.
Their main wedding day was full of incredibly special moments, beginning with Olivia’s beautiful pearl tiara which was the same one her mother wore on her own wedding day. Once the bridal party were ready, they made their way to the courtyard, where Olivia met Stephen at the altar and made their vows.
Once the ceremony was complete, the happy couple had some gorgeous pictures taken around the castle before cutting the cake surrounded by the wedding party. Guests then made their way to the Pavilion which was decorated with timeless green and white flower displays. Olivia and Stephen’s first dance was made extra special when two of the bridesmaids sang a beautiful rendition of Make You Feel My Love by Adele.
The night was brought to a close with a spectacular fireworks display, and as the final one burst in the sky the spine-tingling drone of bagpipes and drums begun in the courtyard. The pipe band marched out in front of the castle for a traditional Scottish beating of the retreat creating an electric atmosphere and the perfect finale for Olivia and Stephen’s dream day.
