Katherine and Simon brought their families together for a two-day celebration at Dundas Castle this summer. From the most wonderful welcome party right through to the final firework on their wedding night, their time was filled with joy and love. They gave us the most wonderful feedback which sums up their wedding perfectly, who better to tell their story than the bride and groom themselves…
“When Simon and I became engaged, we knew we had to decide where we would bring our families together, half from Melbourne, Australia and half from New York City. In the spirit of Simon’s Scottish heritage, we booked a weekend to Edinburgh on a whim to explore our unfolding fairy tale. From the moment we set foot in Dundas Castle, we knew in our hearts this is where we would make our vows to each other.
Celebrating our wedding at Dundas Castle was the experience of our dreams. As soon as our guests stepped onto the property, we were all whisked away to an alternate moment in time. Each moment of the weekend, from our Friday night rehearsal dinner, welcome party and whisky tasting, to the wedding ceremony, dinner and firework display, truly had us in awe. Pronouncing our love for each other in the Auld Keep was a spectacular moment we will keep in our hearts forever. Each and every staff member at Dundas Castle worked above and beyond with us, for almost two years, to create our beautiful story. All of our guests were treated like royalty, and I know our two tiny flower girls lived the weekend as true princesses!
