Heather and Paul flew from Los Angeles to Scotland for their wedding celebrations. Their guests enjoyed a BBQ rehearsal dinner the evening before the big day which allowed everyone to relax and get into the celebrating spirit! They chose to have their ceremony in our Auld Keep and their wedding breakfast in our Pavilion. Heather and Paul wrote some lovely words which summarised their time at Dundas…
“With our love for travel and getting engaged in London, we had envisioned our wedding in a Castle. We never anticipated it to be as magical as it was on our wedding day! We are so grateful and lucky we found Dundas Castle. Living in Los Angeles it was a bit intimidating to plan a wedding across the world. But not only were our expectations met they were exceeded by the vendors and the staff at Dundas.
We travelled all the way from Los Angeles with our 7-month baby girl to exchange our vows. The moment we drove through those beautiful gates down the magical drive-way leading up to and revealing the amazing Castle was a sight like no other! It literally took our breath away. Our stay was a scene taken right out of a movie as we watched the beautiful grounds being attended by the gardeners up to the gravel drive that leads you to the front door. It was such an incredible experience on its own.
When we pulled up we were greeted by the friendly staff. The attention to detail made us feel like Dundas was our own personal Castle. We immediately felt at home and anything we needed they were beyond accommodating. We can’t express our gratitude enough. We simply loved every detail about our wedding at Dundas and reminisce about our stay at the Castle every day. It was the most magical day of our lives. I just wished it lasted longer and we will definitely find any excuse to go back for another stay!” – Heather and Paul
