The saying goes ‘everything comes to those who wait’ and it must be said that this was very true for the wedding of the lovely Caitlin and Callam. To say this wedding was a long time in the coming would be an understatement!

Despite numerous set-backs, the sheer determination and commitment shown by this couple to have the wedding day of their dreams never wavered. They held steadfast to holding their dream day at Dundas Castle, and we were delighted to help them achieve this.

We first met Caitlin and Callam in 2017, when they viewed Dundas and booked their wedding to take place in May 2020. As with many other weddings, the Covid pandemic prevented their original date from going ahead. As a result, the planning process continued for a further year. Whilst there were many tears of joy and sadness along the way, we were delighted to have the opportunity to get to know them and form a special bond; afforded to us as a result of Covid.

The day itself was truly magical; the ceremony took place in the Courtyard under a crystal clear blue summer sky. Caitlin and Callam looked beautiful; the perfect couple.

‘From the minute I drove up the beautiful driveway, I knew Dundas Castle was the one. As soon as I stepped foot in the castle there were tears! “When you know, you know”. It’s just stunning! As unfortunate as we were (due to several postponements), we feel fortunate enough to have been able to visit so many times, become friends with the staff, and now feel part of the furniture! It will always hold a special place in our hearts. We can’t wait to visit again on our anniversary. The wedding day was just unimaginable. More than I could have EVER dreamed of.
