Coronavirus Update

Dundas Castle Coronavirus Statement

Statement Released 12th May 2022

We are delighted that we are now through the darker days of the Coronavirus Pandemic, and can welcome our guests back, without restrictions. Happy days, with plenty of celebrations to be enjoyed and fond memories to be made!

Please be assured, our hardworking team of Housekeepers are still maintaining their high standards and we have plenty of hand sanitiser for our guests to use.

We have a busy summer season ahead and look forward to welcoming you all.

Statement Released 7th August 2021

Welcome back! After such a long time without having the opportunity to host as many happy people as we would usually, we are delighted to be back!

As we see Coronavirus in retreat (fingers crossed it continues), we have been able to welcome happy couples, their nearest and dearest, along with suppliers such as florists, cake makers, pipers, make-up artists, musicians and entertainers, to name a few. We can only say that hearing people making their vows, telling their stories, laughing, celebrating, sharing joyful moments and leaving Dundas with happy memories is a real privilege. Thanks also to all the suppliers who have helped to create these happy moments, and we look forward to many more to come.

Whilst restrictions have been significantly eased, we shall maintain our ‘Covid Housekeeping’ standards, continue to provide hand sanitiser and work to best practise in order to keep all guests, suppliers and staff safe.

Please do contact us if you have any questions about events here at Dundas Castle. We would be delighted to help you to plan and make happy memories, regardless of what you would like to celebrate!

Warmest wishes from Team Dundas!

Statement released 13th March 2020

Following recent announcements from the Scottish and UK Governments and the growing concern on the part of the World Health Organisation (WHO) with regards to Coronavirus, we have reviewed the processes and facilities at Dundas Castle.

We already adopt the highest standards of health and hygiene, operating to the standards of the REHIS (Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland) in our kitchens and with a focus on the health and wellbeing of our guests and staff.

As all staff and visitors are asked to wash their hands regularly and use hand sanitiser, we have heightened our disinfection processes and added paper towels to our bathrooms.  We are further reminding staff of the necessity of good standards of hygiene when working in the Castle and we are following guidelines on self isolation if someone feels unwell.

For the time being, the Castle remains open, our events are continuing as normal and we are working with our suppliers to maintain business as usual.  In time, should guidelines change, we will review this and update our plans accordingly.  As many people book their events well in advance, we are still, of course, taking enquiries and bookings.  If you have an enquiry about an existing booking, contact our team on 0131 319 2039.

We would ask that anyone who is planning to visit the Castle should not enter the building if they have any symptoms associated with the Coronavirus.  We would also ask that if you develop the symptoms of Coronavirus within 14 days of having been here, you let us know so that we can take necessary precautions for staff and future guests.

We shall continue to update this page as further information becomes available.
