On a beautiful Friday in August, Katherine and BJ celebrated their wedding in style, surrounded by their family and friends.

Ahead of the ceremony, the groom and his groomsmen enjoyed a light lunch in the Billiards Room, while the bride and her bridal party prepared in the Spring Bedroom.

Guests arrived aboard the iconic Big Red Bus and were welcomed by the sound of the piper playing at the front of the Castle. As guests made their way to the ceremony, the couple took a quiet moment together to share a first look. Katherine was then piped to the Auld Keep, where the ceremony was conducted by a family member in front of 88 of their closest family and friends.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds headed to the roof of the Auld Keep for photographs overlooking the Firth of the Forth and the iconic three bridges, while guests returned to the main Castle for the drinks reception. The newlyweds were announced to their guests and piped down the grand staircase into the Main Hall, where they joined their loved ones to celebrate and cut their beautiful three-tiered wedding cake.

A palette of summer blues and soft whites was chosen by the couple and reflected throughout the day, from the spectacular floral arrangements in the Auld Keep, Main Hall and Pavilion, to the bridal party’s bouquets.

Following the drinks reception, the bride and groom, along with their guests, were piped to the Pavilion, where they enjoyed heartfelt speeches and a delicious dinner. The Pavilion was elegantly styled to complement their chosen colour palette, with statement table centrepieces featuring white and blue hydrangeas. Guests and the couple then enjoyed an evening of dancing to live music, bringing the perfect close to an unforgettable day of celebrations.
