Deana and Peter came to Dundas Castle all the way from Canada for their dream wedding. They were joined by over 100 of their friends and family from all over the world for this joyful occasion.

The couple took their first gaze upon one another in the Main Hall before making their way to the 600-year Auld Keep to exchange their vows. The Great Hall was beautifully decorated with green vines and softly lit candles, giving a summer fairytale-like feel.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds made their way to the roof of the Keep for some photographs, whilst the wedding party enjoyed a drinks reception in the Blue Drawing Room and Library whilst being entertained by a string quartet. The new Mr and Mrs Smith then made their debut in front of friends and family and cut their magnificent ‘cheesecake’.

It was then time to be piped down to the Pavilion for a delicious wedding breakfast. The wedding party then danced the night away to a wonderful live band, truly celebrating Deana and Peter’s special day…

“Our wedding at Dundas Castle exceeded all our expectations and was truly a day we will never forget! We planned our wedding from overseas at home in Toronto, Canada. The planning took place the pandemic, which was quite daunting at first. However, we are so grateful to the staff at Dundas Castle and all our suppliers who made the planning experience easy and stress-free. We had 105 guests who travelled from around the world to be with us, so we made sure to give them an experience they wouldn’t forget, including a week of activities and events in Edinburgh, highlighting some of the best of Scotland. Our guests are still talking (a year later) about how beautiful, unique, and one-of-a-kind experience it was to celebrate our 2-day wedding in a Scottish castle.
