15 Oct Real Wedding: Caitlin and Bradley, June 2024
Caitlin and Bradley, along with their closest friends and family, enjoyed a magical week at Dundas this summer, concluding with their wedding celebration.
Their time at Dundas captured the essence of Scotland, with an itinerary full of some of the best activities and dining experiences. Guests got to explore the estate and try their hand at country pursuits such as archery and clay pigeon shooting, as well as traditional highland games, which provided much entertainment. The group dined like lairds and ladies during their stay, including a decadent afternoon tea in the Blue Drawing Room, a BBQ in front of the Castle, a whisky and Pimms drinks reception, cocktail hour in the Armoury and a medieval feast in the Stag Chamber.
Beyond the estate, there is quick and easy access to some of Scotland’s best sights. One of the days included a ladies’ trip for an Old Course Spa Day in St Andrews while the gentlemen explored Glasgow and enjoyed a whisky distillery tour.
The final two days celebrated Caitlin and Bradley’s marriage, a magical way to complete the week. They chose to be married in the Great Hall, decorated with rich-toned floral displays and an abundance of candles, creating a truly romantic atmosphere. After saying ‘I do’, they joined guests for a drinks reception in the Main Hall before cutting their cake with the Dundas sword. The wedding party then enjoyed their wedding breakfast in the Pavilion, dressed in a garden style with a mixture of flowers and fruits on each table and fresh foliage hung above. Guests danced all evening with a wonderful live band and traditional Scottish ceilidh.
Caitlin, Bradley and their wedding guests made the most of their time at Dundas, and we hope they made unforgettable memories from the trip of a lifetime.
“It was truly the most magical week of our lives and we have the whole Dundas team to thank for taking us every step of the way so that we were able to have that magical time. Ourselves and our guests can’t stop raving about the castle and the whole week culminating in the wedding. Our guests are fondly calling it the wedding of the century (which I think might be hyperbole, but it certainly was perfection)!” – Caitlin & Bradley
