Abigail and Connor’s wedding in late August at Dundas Castle was nothing short of perfect. This Scottish summer day was graced by glorious sunshine as the newlyweds embarked on their journey together as Mr and Mrs. Every detail of this day exuded elegance, aided by the meticulous touch of Planet Flowers, who transformed Dundas with beautiful floral installations.

The couple, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, arrived a day before the wedding, enjoyed a selection of activities and settled in nicely before the big day.

The morning preparations took place throughout the Castle before both the groomsmen and bridal party were chauffeured to the church for the ceremony. Vows were exchanged at the picturesque St. Michael’s Church in Linlithgow, a short 20-minute drive from Dundas.

The newlyweds, joined by over 150 cherished guests, returned for the drink’s reception in the Main Hall and Front Lawn. Bottles popped, families mingled, and laughter filled the air. The lively ambience was further enhanced by the soulful music of a saxophonist playing on the front steps.

With such idyllic weather, the cake-cutting took place outside the main door, surrounded by columns of flowers that complemented the grandeur of the five-tier wedding cake and Castle entrance.

As dusk settled in, festoon lighting illuminated the pathway to the Pavilion for the evening reception. Guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches and a sumptuous wedding breakfast before Abigail and Connor took to the dancefloor for their first dance. The balmy summer evening was the perfect setting for fire pits and tasty tipples from the Something Blue horsebox bar. The celebration was perfect, with memories made that will last a lifetime.
