18 Mar Real Wedding: Natalie and Ryan, October 2024
Natalie and Ryan travelled from Texas to celebrate their wedding Scots style! On the day of arrival, guests enjoyed quintessential Scottish experiences, including a Highland Games competition between the different ‘clans’, followed by a perfect serving of fish and chips. This allowed everyone to relax and make themselves at home before the big day.
The next morning, the wedding party was woken with a fresh print of ‘Lady Cartindown’, a fun family name play on the Bridgerton’s society papers. This set a fun tone for the forthcoming celebrations while breakfast was served in the Croquet Room. Bridal prep took place in Spring bedroom while the groomsmen enjoyed a dram of whisky in the Billiards Room to keep the nerves at bay.
The ceremony took place in the Great Hall, located in the Castle’s 600 year Auld Keep, dressed with a beautiful autumnal colour palette. Once the guests were gathered, Natalie and Ryan got to make their vows with the added flourish of an owl ring bearer. Following the nuptials, everyone raised a glass to the newlyweds in the Front Hall before timeless photographs were taken to capture their special day. The Croquet Room was the perfect location for their wedding breakfast, with crackling fires and an abundance of candles creating a cosy atmosphere.
Guests danced the night away in the Front Hall and the night drew to a close with a grand fireworks finale. The next morning, Natalie and Ryan departed to continue discovering the very best of Scotland on their honeymoon.
