19 Feb Real Event – 50th Birthday Celebrations – The Ultimate Scottish Experience
Our private guests enjoyed the ultimate Scottish experience to celebrate a milestone birthday with friends and family. Dundas was the home for the duration of the celebration, and unforgettable moments were created at the Castle.
Situated just outside Edinburgh, the location enabled the group to explore some of Scotland’s best sites. The program included a round of golf on one of the top golf courses in the country, an exclusive helicopter trip to the Isle of Islay for the Bowmore whisky experience, and an evening of hospitality at the world-famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
During their time at the Castle, guests participated in quintessential Scottish activities and country pursuits. Once split into clans, they competed against each other in their very own Highland Games, trying their hand at field activities such as ‘caber toss’, ‘haggis hurling’, and ‘shot put’. Guests also tried their hand at clay pigeon shooting, laser clays, and archery; much fun was had by all.
Culinary delights were savoured throughout the stay, including a six-course experiential dinner with paired wines, a ‘Taste of Scotland’ supper served in the Castle’s medieval Stag Chamber, and an elegant afternoon tea served in the Croquet Room. Our dedicated chefs created bespoke menus using the best local ingredients and served alongside a variety of cocktails, Champagnes, and whiskies to suit each occasion. The group also had the opportunity to dine at some of the best restaurants in St Andrews and Edinburgh.
During their time at the Castle, guests were waited on hand and foot by a full butler service, chauffeur-driven transportation and a bar stocked with their favourite tipples. With a fondness for Bridgerton, the family enjoyed this theme, receiving a daily edition of ‘Lady Whistledown’ with the latest daily gossip. Unforgettable moments and special touches were woven throughout the trip. Performances by outstanding musicians, bespoke kilt-makers, and personalised Araminta Campbell tartan scarves all preceded a spectacular grand finale pipe band ‘Beating of the Retreat’, laser and firework display.
The guests left Dundas with memories of Scotland that will last a lifetime.
