Dundas Castle is our first Glampotel location in Scotland. By keeping it limited and select, we ensure that the beautiful Estate remains tranquil, peaceful and unspoilt.
However, being only 15 minutes from Edinburgh International Airport and a short drive from Edinburgh City Centre; a UNESCO World Heritage Site; it is easily accessible and within reach of a plethora of things to do and places to see.
Edinburgh is known as The Festival City and during the summer months, when the City comes to its vibrant peak! With regular trains and buses into the City Centre, Glampotel Dundas Castle is the perfect retreat for festival goers; near to the hustle and bustle of the City, yet with the seclusion and comfort of a private, countryside hideaway.
What better way to enjoy the best of both worlds than by staying at Glampotel Dundas Castle.
This place is something else! It was our first time visiting Edinburgh and upon looking for a hotel I came across Glampotel Dundas Castle and booked it immediately for 3 nights over the bank holiday. We have two children of 9 and 2 and I just knew they were both going to love it. On arrival, the lovely Suzie showed us around our tent and gave us lots of information about the grounds, wildlife etc. I was in complete awe of how amazing the tent was and how stunning the grounds and lake were, I knew from that moment it was going to be a weekend to remember.
Fabulous visit! Such a special peaceful spot next to the loch. The cottages have every home comfort you could wish for and you feel right at home very quickly.
What can I say Glampotel in the grounds of a stunning castle with stunning views and lots to see and do I would recommend this place for everyone family's it will blow your mind. And next to the world famous forth rail bridge i give it a 5 star plus
We spend two nights at Glampotel Dundas Castle and it was an amazing experience. If you want to have an experience of outdoor living with the family we would highly recommend it. With a BBQ on the deck of every tent, an ensuite bathroom with lovely hot water and with the lake and the trees all around you, it was a superb mindful experience. The boys engaged with the outdoors straight away. And the team on the grounds are just amazing. Just do it!
Have just come back from a 3 day break and we had a fantastic time, stunning place and views cottages well equipped and the wardens cant do enough for you no matter what time of day. We walked into south Queensferry on the Sunday only a half hour walk great views of the bridges.
If you've never been inside one of these glamping pods, you're in for a nice surprise!
This is the most unique accommodation I have ever tried! I am not a camper (or glamper!), but the comfort of the tents made me think I could start.
We just visited the new Dundas Canvas Cottages and loved it. We had two toddlers with us so it was quite an adventure.
My Girlfriend got this stay away for my birthday as she wanted to do something different, it definitely was different but in a very good way. I enjoy camping, however, this was next level as it was in an amazing location and the tent itself is spacious as well as cosy. The bathroom and shower were perfect and the wood burner was great and heated the Tent up in no time at all. There is a BBQ just outside and we used that for dinner which again was great. The tent looks out onto a lake/loch and it is just perfect to sit on the bed with the door open and look out with a cold beer. If you are looking for something different and somewhere to relax and unwind then this is the perfect place for it. I can't remember the owner's names however they were all extremely welcoming and nothing was of any bother to them so thank you for that 🙂
It was magical - we highly recommend this and will definitely be back again and again.
