From authentic Medieval Scottish banquet scenes and luxury homely shoots; to archery by the loch and relaxed interviews in front of the fire, we have been able to provide diverse locations for many different styles of film and photo shoot.
All under one roof, we have many areas for you to choose from and most have more than enough room for a large crew, cameras and equipment.
We have 400 acres of parkland which includes a Boathouse on a private loch with its own balcony.
There is a quarry, open fields, manicured lawns and a rustic walled garden. There is, of course, also the Castle façade and the rooftop of the Auld Keep with views across the bridges and the Firth of Forth. Within the stunning Courtyard there is a fountain, stable doors and light brickwork that provides a bright location for external shots.

We invite you to come to the Castle with as many crew as you require in advance of your shoot and if there is availability, and at a small additional fee, set designers can start work at the Castle before your scheduled days. As Dundas is an ‘exclusive use’ venue, you have the flexibility to use any of the areas, both inside and out, at no additional fee during your pre-arranged days. On the day you can choose to use a room that you had previously not selected and can spend more time indoors if the weather is unfavourable.
We shall provide you with a large room for your crew to work and dine from and there are bedrooms that you can use for costume change. There is a large car park at the Castle and another large plumbed car park along the driveway for trucks and trailers.
For a 2 or more day shoot, you can make use of the 17 bedrooms and there is further accommodation in the area for excess cast and crew. We can create menus for you for quick buffet lunches or more formal sit-down dinners.
Please feel free to contact us for any further information on our offering, the rooms available and to be sent any photos of the interior or exterior.
